Hi, I'm Anish
I look forward to meeting and working with you
I have worked in the field of ABA for eight years. I have supported both children and adults of all ages. I have a diploma in behavioral science, degree in behavioral psychology in and master degree in Applied Behavior Analysis from Western Connecticut State University. I am currently perusing becoming a BCBA. I take pride in supporting and teaching individuals with disabilities. I worked on social skills, academic skills, communication, self-regulation, toileting, activities if daily living, play skills, and eating skills with my learners. Throughout my time working with learners and their families they have reported success in major areas of learning.
A typical ABA session with me :
When working with individuals, I make learning fun and keep the learners engaged. I teach skills by using items and activities that are motivating to them. I have lots of experience with NET teach (natural environment teaching), this not your typical teaching session where the child is sitting at a table. This teaching can take place during play or in the community. I also have experience with implementing more structured approach as well. I try and make learning practical and clear for the learner, having them understand the foundational skills required.
During my first initial sessions I work on building trust and good rapport with learner. I assess their skills and determine areas of need. I use assessment tools such as ABLLS, VB-MAPPS, and AFLs as tool to determine skills levels. I communicate this and discuss these needs with family and write program/ lesson plan for specific goals. I monitor each program and lesson and will revise as needed with the support of the family.
When working with the family, I take a family-centered approach and will provide support and coaching in areas that are meaningful to the family.
