Hi, I'm Catherine

I am honoured to meet you.

As an art therapist and psychotherapist, I want to understand everything that makes you special: your perspective, your culture, your journey, your strengths. We can connect through art, or talk, whatever you prefer. With training in applied behaviour analysis and acceptance and commitment therapy, I will learn about what your values, what motivates you, and activities you find meaningful. I do not focus on a diagnoses, I focus on you and what you tell me: your hopes, dreams, and goals.

What a therapy session would look like:

We will do a check-in then set a goal together. I will listen and hope you feel comfortable telling me what you need and what is helpful. I can provide education and guidance around skill-building, mindful practices, and art directives. I take your lead and we work together towards this goal. I strive to be supportive, understanding, and encouraging.

Experiences

I have over 13 years of experience working with over 2,000 people of all ages, from all walks of life.
I have worked with clients in communities, homes, nursing homes, retirement residences, group homes, hospitals, schools, swimming pools, and in their own homes.

Populations

I support a variety of populations including:
Professionals struggling with stress, anxiety, burnout, and work stress.
Parents supporting their family with growth and development, mental health, and life changes.
Individuals with developmental disabilities such as autism spectrum disorder on their journey of strengthening skills and confidence.
