Hi, I'm Catherine
I am honoured to meet you.
As an art therapist and psychotherapist, I want to understand everything that makes you special: your perspective, your culture, your journey, your strengths. We can connect through art, or talk, whatever you prefer. With training in applied behaviour analysis and acceptance and commitment therapy, I will learn about what your values, what motivates you, and activities you find meaningful. I do not focus on a diagnoses, I focus on you and what you tell me: your hopes, dreams, and goals.
What a therapy session would look like:
We will do a check-in then set a goal together. I will listen and hope you feel comfortable telling me what you need and what is helpful. I can provide education and guidance around skill-building, mindful practices, and art directives. I take your lead and we work together towards this goal. I strive to be supportive, understanding, and encouraging.
